Nice atmosphere. I had a sandwich in which the bread was very dry but my 2 colleagues were pleased with their soup and salad. So the jury is out.
I visited with a friend at the end of my trip from Scotland. We arrived after trying 3 local inns, but with it being a Sunday evening, we had no luck ordering food until we arrived at the Grove Lock. The food was so tasty. Both of us had the Steak & London Pride Pie, which was delicious, and I followed that with some Salted Caramel ice cream. I think we were told that the ice cream is made with buffalo milk, and I can't even describe it. It was like butter! I'd go back just for that! Our waitress was absolutely fantastic. I didn't catch her name, but she is an absolute credit to the establishment, as - I'm sure - are the rest of the staff. So polite and welcoming. I'll be sure to return on my next trip!
Very pleasant afternoon and evening with friends in a comfortable warm friendly place. Very much enjoyed our time here and will return.
A lovely pub right by the cabal. We went for a walk and then as the pub is doing great friendly, we could bring our dog in for a drink. It's very cosy and homely. Has a nice outdoor space, the weather wasn't that great to sit outside in. I have eaten here before for lunch and the food is really nice with good service.
Good was lovely, but waited way too long for it. It also wasn't that hot. It was warm, and very nice, but the chips were too tough and chewy for my liking. Staff were lovely
