Nice open park with adjoining fields, public toilets and playpark, also has basic mini golf in season, picnic benches scatter the lower field so plenty of places to sit if you're early enough.**EDIT 2019** The Mini Golf is gone in favour of a splash park in the summer with a small refreshment stand that vends coffee, tea, soft drinks and ice creams. There is now also a large adventure playground for kids adjoining the splash park.

Hmm, now I do like this park. It has a lot to do for children. And it's a nice walk and has nice pretty gardens.BUT the new play area is not fenced off, so small children need to be watched carefully, it's hard when it's busy and it's so big too. And dogs walk through the play area. Owners not caring about children who are scared of dogs.Secondly, the toilets. The nice toilets are only open during the holidays. The disgusting smelly filthy toilets are open all the time. It's not fair.Apart from these, which actually put me off going to the park with my 3 year old, it's a nice park for older three kids who don't need to watched closely in the park and probably can hold their toileting until we go home!

Lived here for years. Summer will really make this place shine. Not a winter place in my opinion.

Love the park. Great for walking my dog. I do think that the new play area should be fenced off to stop the dogs roaming amongst the apparatus. Obviously some dogs well may use the area to foul in and although most dog walkers are very responsible there are some that are not so.

A pretty park with an amazing play area, it even has a splash park. A great place to stop off if on a journey up the M1. The old town that runs along side is also very pretty. Plenty of parking. Well worth a visit.
