We always go here every year for the santa train. Been going since my 17 year old was a toddler. It's such a lovely experience and all the people that volunteer at the railway put so much effort in. We are lucky to have something unique in our town. Thanks again for making my younger kids Christmas

We visited for "Santa after dark." The staff are all really friendly, enthusiastic and helpful. The facilities were good. The cake in the cafe was very nice. The train journey was excellent. The entertainers; a magician and balloon modeller, were very entertaining; my son (5yrs) and I particularly liked the magician who was very funny with it. Santa was great and all the kids were over the moon with his visit. All in all a fantastic evening and very good value. We are already planning our return visit!

Welcoming elves, activities for the children, short train ride, refreshments for adults and children. Santa's grotto was cute, pretty basic but decent present for the child. We all had a lovely hour or so.

Needs to be better for the price they charge (17 for adult and child) Train journey is a little uneventful as it just passes through the back of people's gardens so all you see is fences. There is a quiz for kids to do, but some commentry into the carriages would helpful to make the journey a bit more interesting. Staff seemed friendly. Shop is a disappointment.

Really charming place. Its a wonderful ride on an old quarry railway. Narrow gauge line. Lovely little locomotives and a chance to travel in a polish carriage. A good shop with second books no one knows how to put through the till. A great exhibition in the engine shed and especially at the other end of the line. A great day out for families. Well priced too.
